The clouds threatened to pour of Nicky & Jacob’s big day. However, I think that Nicky’s mom was looking from above to make sure that her special daughter had the wedding day of her dreams. I’m tearing up and whimpering as I write this blogpost, as I not only know Nicky as my Cousin-in-law, but I new her mother as well, and I was there last September when she peacefully passed away in the hospital following a courageous battle with Von Hippel-Lindau‘s disease (VHL). Gratefully, we were able to capture a mini ceremony 1 week prior to her passing.
OK. Tears wiped away… well not really but I’ll keep writing so please excuse any grammatical or spelling errors.
The beautiful day began with the bride and groom getting ready early in the morning. With 5 bridesmaids & 5 groomsmen, the MUA & hair stylist started their artwork, while the guys made a hearty breakfast & Jacob enjoyed bachelorhood on last time.
At the Fraser River Fishing Lodge in Agassiz, British Columbia, Nicky donned her dress and did some last minute prep prior to her father meeting her to walk her down the aisle. I took the opportunity to capture the amazing scenery around the lodge, especially the Buffalo that grazed in the pastures just a stone’s throw away.
I’ll let you go through the photos yourself. Please leave a comment at the bottom for the newlyweds & show them some love!
